As a division of the Department of Interior, the Division of Land Titles and Records maintains all documents related to Indian land ownership and coordinates the Title Status Report (TSR) process. This course will define and discuss the Title Status Report, what it is and why someone would need it. For instance, Indian landowners must have a Title Status Report for many reasons pertaining to their property such as probates and sales. A Title Status Report or TSR can be difficult to understand by persons unfamiliar with its layout, parts and terms. This course will explain the TSR process, procedure and purpose so that those reading a TSR will have a better understanding of its contents.
