Drug Free Workplace

Drug/Alcohol abuse is prevalent across Indian Country and Tribal Housing employees are not immune to the role drugs play in their communities.  Tribal housing has a stake in protecting their workplace from alcohol and drug abuse by providing education about the dangerous effects and providing encouragement to its staff to seek help should they find themselves involved in drugs.  A drug free workplace is important so Tribal Housing can maintain safe and healthy work environments. This webinar will raise awareness to housing directors, supervisors, and staff about the impact drugs and alcohol have on the workplace and provide guidelines for establishing drug free policies and procedural recommendations.

Training Objectives:

  • Educate housing staff about the effect of drugs and alcohol in the workplace, including methamphetamine
  • Provide supervisors with guidelines on addressing drug and alcohol in Tribal Housing
  • Educate employees on how to provide support to staff abusing drugs or alcohol
  • Provide policy and procedural recommendations for developing a drug free workplace policy
