with Native Learning Center in Hollywood, Florida on November 4-7, 2019.
Oweesta is excited to partner with Native Learning Center to offer this Native CDFI Practitioner Certification Program – Fundamentals Week again. This four-day, Fundamentals Week training will orient Native Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) practitioners to the Native CDFI field and help them understand more about different aspects of Native CDFI operations. This Fundamentals Week will help participants become certified Native CDFI practitioners and strengthen your work in your organizations and Native communities. Oweesta is partnering with the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Native Learning Center. Lanalle Smith and Florence Ludka from Oweesta will lead this training. We will be covering a range of CDFI topics, including: history of the industry, CDFI products & services, basic financial management, capitalization, measuring impact, outreach, policies and procedures, lending, client management, and other relevant topics.
The Native CDFI Practitioner Certification Training – Fundamentals Week will be held at the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Native Learning Center, located at 6363 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The training is tuition-free, however we do ask that if you register and are unable to make it please call 954-985-2315 to cancel (this will assist us in our breakfast and lunch orders).
