NOFA – HEALTHY HOMES PRODUCTION FOR TRIBAL HOUSING GRANTS
HUD’s Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes has announced the availability of $12 million for Healthy Homes Production for Tribal Housing grants to Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized) and Native American tribal organizations (such as a tribally designated housing entity submitting an application on behalf of a tribe). HUD will award grants of up to $1 million each.
The purpose of the grant program is to assist American Indian and Alaska Native tribal governments identify and remediate housing related health and safety hazards. The program assists these tribal governments to develop comprehensive programs to identify and remediate housing issues that contribute to health and safety issues in urban, tribal communities by focusing on housing-related hazards in a coordinated fashion, rather than addressing a single hazard at a time.
