News from the Native Alliance Against Violence

The Native Alliance Against Violence is looking to hire two positions, and are hosting the 5th Annual Gathering of Voices: Addressing Sexual Assault in Indian Country.

The two open positions are:

1) Project Coordinator- This position is funded by a Cooperative Agreement awarded the NAAV by the Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) under a Tribal Technical Assistant solicitation to address data collection and analysis.

2) Executive Assistant- This position provides administrative support to the NAAV Executive Director and organization staff.

“The Native Alliance Against Violence invites you to the 5th Annual Gathering of Voices: Addressing Sexual Assault in Indian Country.”

This year’s theme is “Standing Up. Speaking Out. Taking Action.” The event’s topics will include the unspoken issues of Oklahoma’s American Indian women that have been affected by sexual assault, how to take action against societal norms that promote violence against women, and we will honor the advocates that provide support for these survivors.
This event is free and open to the public. The keynote speaker will be Olga Trujillo. Many of Oklahoma’s tribal domestic and sexual violence programs will be present to provide information about their respective programs with attendees.
